Our Story

Since 2012, Baseline has been on a mission to make the complex world of payments simpler and more friendly for B2B merchants of all shapes and sizes. Today, with offices in Vancouver and Nashville, Baseline has grown to support more than 2,000 businesses across North America, processing over $2 billion annually. With a focus on construction, law, manufacturing and the food & beverage industry, Baseline provides payment solutions that help accelerate cash flow, reduce the time spent on tedious manual tasks, and enhance the user experience.

Meet our Owners

Co-founder Paul Schulz and Chief Strategy Officer Jean-Sebastien Beaucage know exactly how to solve complex payments problems for businesses both large and small. After a successful career in commercial insurance (soul sufficiently destroyed), and a failed attempt to become the next Daniel Negreanu, Paul found his way into payments, launching Baseline in 2012. Jean-Sebastien joined the team in 2023 after a long career in management consulting, where he helped a variety of businesses transform their procurement and finance functions.
